Tris(trimethylsilyl) borate as an electrolyte additive for high-voltage lithium-ion batteries using LiNi1/3Mn1/3Co1/3O2 cathode

114TMSB additive significantly improved the cycle life of the high-voltage Li/LiCo1/3Ni1/3Mn1/3O2 cells at both RT and elevated temperature. The addition of a small amount resulted in a decrease in fading for up to 150 cycles.
