Low liquid-solid ratio fractionation of sugarcane bagasse by hot water autohydrolysis and organosolv delignification

- Environmentally friendly delignification treatment of pretreated bagasse was studied.
- Autohydrolysis and delignification were performed using low liquid-solid ratio.
- The hydrothermal pretreatment allowed extraction of 68.8% of xylans.
- Delignification at low LSR produced a solid with a high content of glucans (>85%).
