Hydrothermal conversion of woody biomass with disodium octaborate tetrahydrate and boric acid

- Woody biomass was converted into bio-oil at 250, 300 and 350 °C using catalysts.
- The product distributions were affected by the temperature and catalyst types.
- The highest heating values were obtained with disodium octaborate tetrahydrate.
