Ionic liquid-supported solid-liquid extraction of bioactive alkaloids. II. Kinetics, modeling and mechanism of glaucine extraction from Glaucium flavum Cr. (Papaveraceae)

► 1M [C4mim][Ace] is better extractant than methanol in the extraction of alkaloids. ► Extraction capacity of IL solution is nearly independent on the temperature. ► IL solution as extractant shows enormously high initial rates and rate constants of extraction. ►[C4mim][Ace] forms H-bonds with cellulose. ► [C4mim][Ace] solution disrupt plant cell tissues at room temperature.
