Tectonic framework and evolution of the Tarim Block in NW China

► Lithostratigraphic units and multiple phases of igneous activities of the Tarim are synthesized. ► Tectonic evolution stages are constructed based on its sedimentary-magmatic- metamorphic events. ► Relationship between its tectonic evolution and global supercontinent events was discussed.
