Analysis of heat transfer and pressure drop for fin-and-tube heat exchangers with rectangular winglet-type vortex generators

► Full-scale fin-and-tube heat exchangers with vortex generators are simulated. ► The effect of fin thickness is considered by conjugated heat transfer simulation. ► A relatively better attack angle is obtained which can provide a better performance. ► An improved configuration of the rectangular winglet pairs is obtained.
