Design of silica supported task-specific ionic liquid catalyst system for oxidation of cyclohexene to adipic acid with 30% H2O2

► We designed an ionic liquid-modified silica catalyst system. ► The [BMIm]2WO4 ionic liquid could balance the surface polarity. ► The task-specific ionic liquid also provided WO42- specie. ► The catalyst is efficient for oxidation of cyclohexene to adipic acid.
