Preparation of polyamides 6 (PA6)/Chitosan@FexOy composite nanofibers by electrospinning and pyrolysis and their Cr(VI)-removal performance

- PA6/Chitosan nanofibers with ultrafine network were prepared via electrospinning.
- Iron oxides nanoparticles were anchored uniformly on the PA6/Chitosan nanofibers.
- The obtained composite adsorbent exhibited excellent Cr(VI) removal performance.
- The adsorption process for Cr(VI) followed Freundlich adsorption model.
- The adsorption kinetics belonged to the pseudo-second-order model.
