Experimental study on the heat transfer coefficient of water flow boiling in mini/microchannels

► Evaporative water flow is tested in minichannels and microchannels. ► Effective heat flux, local heat transfer coefficients and vapor qualities are calculated. ► Heat transfer coefficients increase with increasing of heat flux whereas decrease with increasing of vapor quality. ► Microchannels can get higher heat transfer coefficients than minichannels under same heat and mass transfer condition. ► A new correlation including Bond number is developed and validated to cover the prediction of experimental data.
