On the different photocatalytic performance of BiVO4 catalysts for Methylene Blue and Rhodamine B degradation

- By a simple hydrothermal method we achieve the BiVO4 photoactive monoclinic phase.
- Preparation parameters effect on the photoactivity has been studied.
- Photodegradation of MB is strongly affected by the crystallite size and morphology.
- Photodegradation of RhB is closely affected by the ζ-potential of BiVO4.
- Evolution of ζ-potential could be related with preferred facet exposition.
