Development of new trimetallic NiMoW catalysts supported on SBA-15 for deep hydrodesulfurization

► A comparison study of NiMo, NiW and NiMoW/SBA-15 catalysts was undertaken. ► NiMoW/SBA-15 catalyst was prepared by co-impregnation of Ni, Mo and W species. ► NiMoW/SBA-15 catalyst was compared with mechanical mixture of NiMo and NiW. ► Catalytic activity was tested in HDS of dibenzothiophene (DBT) and 4,6-dimethyl-DBT. ► NiMoW/SBA-15 catalyst showed the highest activity in HDS of DBT and 4,6-DMDBT.
