Some advantages and challenges of running a Euro IV, V6 diesel engine on a gasoline fuel

► Multi-cylinder diesel engine ran on gasoline fuel without any major changes. ► With gasoline, we achieved NOx levels better/comparable to diesel map point. ► At lower EGR rated, injection pressures and lower BSFC and with extremely low smoke. ► However the CO and HC emissions were higher. ► There appears to be potential for simplifying future diesel engines.
