Distribution of trace elements in feed coal and combustion residues from two coal-fired power plants at Huainan, Anhui, China

- We examine contents of trace elements in feed coals and combustion residues.
- Most of the trace elements were concentrated in the fly ash, whereas Mn was enriched in the bottom ash.
- The diameter of ash particle removed by the ESP was in an inverse proportion to the enrichment factor of most trace elements.
- The elemental amount in fly ash and gypsum samples subject to leaching test were found not significantly reduced.
