Chemical looping combustion of low-ash and high-ash low rank coals using different metal oxides - A thermogravimetric analyser study

► Evaluation of the interaction of mineral matter and oxygen carrier during CLC of one low-ash and one high-ash lignite. ► Use of Fe2O3 and NiO with these lignites. ► Higher coal conversion is achieved with Fe2O3. ► No agglomeration between ash and Fe2O3 or NiO particles.
