A simple method for preparation of presulfided eggshell CoMoS/γ-Al2O3 catalysts for hydrodesulfurization of dibenzothiophene

► An effective method to prepare eggshell CoMoS/Al2O3 catalysts was developed. ► The eggshell thickness of Co and Mo could be easily regulated. ► The eggshell catalyst could decrease the internal diffusion limitation. ► The eggshell catalyst could improve the utilization efficiency of active components. ► The eggshell catalyst showed higher DBT HDS activity.
