(Liquid + liquid) equilibrium of the ternary aqueous system containing poly ethylene glycol dimethyl ether 2000 and tri-potassium citrate at different temperatures

► LLE of (poly ethylene glycol dimethyl ether + tri potassium citrate + H2O) was studied. ► The effect of temperature on the binodals and tie-lines were investigated. ► Binodal data were correlated with two empirical equations. ► Tie-lines were fitted to several models including extended NRTL and modified NRTL. ► The entropy is driving force for aqueous two-phase formation.
