Immittance response of an electrolytic cell in the presence of adsorption, generation, and recombination of ions

► Recombination and adsorption effects are incorporated to the Poisson-Nernst-Planck (PNP) model. ► Exact frequency dependence for the electrical admittance response in the PNP model are obtained. ► Real and imaginary parts of the impedance are strongly influenced by adsorption-desorption effects.
