Microwave pretreatment of Moringa oleifera seed: Effect on oil obtained by pilot-scale supercritical carbon dioxide extraction and Soxhlet apparatus

- No literature reported on Moringa oleifera seed pretreated by microwave (MW).
- Theoretical energy transfer ranging from 3 to 36 kJ studied on oil extraction.
- Soxhlet oil and SC-CO2 oil compared without and with MW pretreatment.
- 100 W for 30 s increased the oil yield with SC-CO2 extraction.
- Chemical quality of SC-CO2 oil higher than Soxhlet oil.
