Effect of pressure on corrosion of Inconel 625 in supercritical water up to 100Â MPa with acids or oxygen

- Corrosion behavior was investigated at pressures up to 100 MPa using a flow apparatus.
- The concentration of Ni ion with HNO3 was over 1 ppm at 50 and 100 MPa.
- The concentration of Cr ion with HNO3 or O2 was about 0.5-1 ppm at 100 MPa.
- Concentration of metal ions in the effluent increased with pressure.
- Log-log plots of metal ion concentration and water density are linear.
