- Supercritical CO2 extraction and pressurized liquid extraction were applied to recover bioactive from blueberry residues.
- The effects of pressure, temperature, and solvent on global yield and extract's quality were evaluated.
- Ethanol and water were used as cosolvents in SFE to enhance the recovery of antioxidants and anthocyanins from the blueberry bagasse.
- Sixteen anthocyanins were identified and quantified in the extracts by UPLC.
- The concentrations of bioactive compounds in the extracts were higher than those reported for fresh blueberries.
