Kinetics modeling and main reaction schemes for the supercritical water gasification of methanol

► Three models for combustion and supercritical water oxidation were applied to SCWG. ► Models were implemented for an isobaric and isothermal PFR reactor. ► Short-term and long-term behavior of the models were analyzed. ► Webley and Tester's model successfully describes methanol conversion. ► Main reaction pathways resulting from the model are presented.
