Deposition of Pd into mesoporous silica SBA-15 using supercritical carbon dioxide

▶ Pd nanoparticles have been deposited uniformly into silica SBA-15 using scCO2. ▶ Deposition has been carried out at very mild conditions, without using organic solvents. ▶ scCO2 is a green solvent that favours dispersion of the metal on the support. ▶ Reduction conditions have a significant effect on the composite materials. ▶ The catalytic activity of the Pd/SiO2 composite material has been shown.
