Modeling heat conduction in the presence of a dislocation
چکیده انگلیسی

In this work, we propose a new model to investigate how heat conduction processes are modified close to a dislocation in a dielectric crystal. For the cases of a screw dislocation and a wedge dislocation, we show that thermal conductivity is locally anisotropic and that each kind of defect can imprint its own topological properties to the heat flux.


► A geometric model is used to model heat transfer next to defects in liquid crystals.
► The thermal conductivity coefficients obtained continue to obey Osanger's relations.
► Heliticy, convergence and divergence of the heat flux lines are observed.
► Curvature and torsion are pointed as the cause of the effects.
