Model identificaton for temperature extrapolation in aircraft powerplant systems

► We validate ARX models as tools for identification of the system's temperature. ► This is done through numerical simulations and laboratory representative tests. ► Model order is related to initial conditions and transfer function of the system. ► Non-zero initial conditions lead to high order models. ► All the influent variables have to be declared as inputs in the model.
