Evaluation of synthetic aggregates using off-ASTM specification ashes as road base course materials

► Stockpiled or manufactured FBC ash aggregate was used in flexible base construction. ► Both aggregates did not sacrifice high early strength and cause sulfate swelling. ► 50/50 blend of both aggregate satisfied Class L base criterions as per TxDOT Item 276.
