Biomasses pyrolysis and combustion kinetics through n-th order parallel reactions

► In this study we work with five different biomass samples, including a seaweed species. ► Pyrolysis and combustion is studied in thermobalance at different heating rates. ► A model for thermal decomposition is proposed and optimized. ► The model is able to explain pyrolysis and combustion with the same set of kinetic constants for all five samples studied.
