Advanced algorithms for gradient estimation in one- and two-parameter extremum seeking controllers

► We developed a new approach for the estimation of the local gradient in extremum seeking control. ► The improved gradient estimate enables for a 50% reduction of the convergence time. ► In a simulation the advantages compared to the classical algorithm are pointed out. ► Experimental results are shown to demonstrate the unproblematic applicability of the algorithm.
