Na-HEU zeolite synthesis for the removal of Th(IV) and Eu(III) from aqueous waste by batch process

► Nano-size Na-HEU zeolite material has been synthesized hydrothermally. ► As-synthesized Na-HEU zeolite appears to be good adsorbent for Th(IV) and Eu(III). ► Monolayer capacity for Th(IV) and Eu(III) at 323 K were 0.62 and 0.66 mequiv./g. ► The adsorption data fitted well with the Langmuir isotherms. ► ΔG°, ΔH° and ΔS° values reveal the endothermic and spontaneous nature of process.
