Evaluating protection performance of zinc rich epoxy paints modified with polyaniline and polyaniline-clay nanocomposite

- Supercritical CO2 was used as a process medium to synthesis polyaniline and polyaniline-clay nanocomposites.
- Fully exfoliated nanocomposites were synthesized via rapid de-pressurization of supercritical CO2 medium.
- Exfoliated nanocomposites and polyaniline were used to enhance the barrier properties of a zinc rich epoxy primer.
- Barrier properties of modified primers were evaluated and compared with each other via different electrochemical methods.
