BenzoDODA grafted polymeric resin-Plutonium selective solid sorbent

A new ligand grafted polymeric resin (BenzoDODA SDVB) has been synthesised and evaluated for the separation of plutonium from nitric acid medium. This resin has provided an excellent solid support material for the selective removal of plutonium from radioactive waste solutions thereby overcoming the various issues associated with extractant impregnated/encapsulated polymeric resin.
