- Rsn-2 goes from soluble to surface active form with conformational change at hinge.
- Novel protein, SRFN, is Rsn-2 with glycine substitutions for a flexible hinge point.
- SRFN retains biological compatibility of Rsn-2 and similar surface tension reduction.
- SRFN has reduced foaming making it suitable for wetting and spreading applications.
