Biosurfactant production by Bacillus subtilis B30 and its application in enhancing oil recovery

- Bacillus subtilis B30 produced biosurfactant using glucose or date molasses.
- Biosurfactants gave stable emulsions with wide range of hydrocarbons.
- It was stable over wide range of pH, salinity and temperatures.
- Biosurfactant recovered additional 17-26% light oil (API 36.51°).
- Biosurfactant also showed additional 31% recovery of heavy oil (API 15.90°).
