Facile preparation of artemisia argyi oil-loaded antibacterial microcapsules by hydroxyapatite-stabilized Pickering emulsion templating

- The nanocomposite microcapsules were prepared by Pickering emulsion templates.
- Artemisia argyi oil (AAO) was loaded into the microcapsules.
- The thermal stability of AAO in the microcapsules was improved.
- The burst release of AAO from the microcapsules was inhibited.
- The microcapsules had an excellent long-term antimicrobial effect.
