Structurally modified polybenzimidazole hollow fibre membranes with enhanced gas permeation properties

▸ Asymmetric hollow-fibre membranes were prepared from structurally-modified PBI. ▸ The modified PBI hollow-fibres show improvement in the ideal gas-pair selectivities. ▸ The gas-pair selectivities for CO2/N2, O2/N2 and H2/N2 were 37, 8 and 115.9, respectively. ▸ While, the H2, O2 and CO2 fluxes were about 12.97, 0.89 and 4.1 GPU, respectively.
