- Solar cell was used to power a photoelectrochemical (PEC) reactor.
- CO2 was reduced to a host of organic acids using the PEC system.
- CO2 solubility was increased by the addition of methanol that affects the CO2 reduction.
- PEC system can improve the photocatalytic efficiency.
- Concurrent methyl orange oxidation was achieved by the PEC system.
