Thermal analysis of fuses with variable cross-section fuselinks
چکیده انگلیسی

This paper describes a thermal model of fast fuse suitable for power electronic circuits. This model can be used to analyse the thermal behaviour of the fuselink during steady-state conditions when different types of notches are applied. Results from mathematical models have been compared with those from 3D thermal models using software based on the finite element method and from experimental tests. The temperature values from thermal simulations and experimental data are very similar those coming from mathematical models.
