Grey-box modelling and in situ experimental identification of desiccant rotors

► Grey-box modelling of a silica gel desiccant rotor was performed for a DEC system. ► An original method was used to experimentally identify the physical parameters. ▶ Accurate predictions have been obtained with the one-dimensional model. ► The identified desiccant mass was 30-40% lower than its theoretical value. ▶ The identified specific heat was 1.5-2 times higher than its theoretical value.
