Amorphous/crystal and polymer/filler interphases in biocomposites from poly(butylene succinate)

▸ The existence of intermolecular interactions between poly(butylene succinate) and hemp fibres was proved from specific heat capacities data. ▸ Different degrees of mobility of the poly(butylene succinate) amorphous segments were evidenced at the amorphous/crystal interphase. ▸ Devitrification of the rigid amorphous fraction in poly(butylene succinate) was found to occur before and simultaneously with the fusion.
