Hydraulic characteristics simulation of an innovative self-agitation anaerobic baffled reactor (SA-ABR)

► A self-agitation anaerobic baffled reactor (SA-ABR) was improved. ► The hydraulic characteristics was simulated in the self-agitation process. ► The reactor could be regarded as the combination of CSTR and PFR. ► The self-agitation intensity is depend on the length of the U-tube. ► The design and operation features of the self-agitation reactor are discussed.
