Facultative autotrophic denitrifiers in denitrifying sulfide removal granules

► A total of 16 strains were isolated from denitrifying sulfide removal (DSR) granules. ► The isolates were Pseudomonas sp., Agrobacterium sp. and Acinetobacter sp. ► These strains have both autotrophic and heterotrophic denitrification capabilities. ► Potential use of these facultative autotrophic denitrifiers was discussed.
