A new thermostable β-glucosidase mined from Dictyoglomus thermophilum: Properties and performance in octyl glucoside synthesis at high temperatures

► A new β-glucosidase (DtGH) was discovered by genome data mining across different kingdoms. ► DtGH is extremely stable both in aqueous solution and in n-octanol glycosidation system. ► The enzyme can tolerate high concentrations of glucose. ► DtGH showed hydrolytic activities on glucosides with various aglycones and glycones.
