Biodiesel from Siberian apricot (Prunus sibirica L.) seed kernel oil

► First report of Siberian apricot as feedstock for preparation of biodiesel. ► Siberian apricot has high oil content (50.18%) and low acid value (0.46 mg g−1). ► Siberian apricot has a high percentage of oleic acid (65.23 ± 4.97%). ► The most results of fuel properties compare well with biodiesel standards. ► Siberian apricot is promising species for biodiesel feedstock in China.
