Solid state bioconversion of wheat straw into digestible and nutritive ruminant feed by Ganoderma sp. rckk02

► Selective lignin degradation using a new fungal isolate i.e. Ganoderma sp. rckk02. ► Higher lignin degradation in shorter time span providing higher nutrition. ► Fermented feed had higher crude protein, digestibility and metabolizable energy. ► In vivo trial showed high feed intake, nutrient digestibility and N balance in goat.
