Bio-isoprene production using exogenous MVA pathway and isoprene synthase in Escherichia coli

► Assemble the whole MVA pathway from Saccharomyces cerevisiae into the E. coli strain. ► Construct a novel pathway for the isoprene production. ► The strain YJM13 could accumulate isoprene up to 2.48 mg/l. ► The strain YJM13 could produce 532mg/l isoprene under the fermentation culture.
