Synthesis of some novel silicone-imide hybrid inorganic-organic polymer and their properties

- Novel hybrid polymers having alternate diimide and disiloxane units were prepared.
- Silicon atom is attached directly to imide ring through SiC bond.
- Derivatives showed good thermal properties studied using thermal analysis.
- Derivatives gave high char yield and may be used as good flame retarding materials.
- Derivatives showed good dielectric constant and solvent resistant values.
