Nanowires array modified electrode for enhanced electrochemical detection of nucleic acid

► Gold nanowires array (AuNWsA) electrode was fabricated by two step electrodeposition method. ► Nanowires were shown to be well aligned and strongly attached to the Au film. ► AuNWsA electrode is used for fabrication of DNA biosensors. ► Fabricated biosensor exhibits good detection limit of 6.78×10−9 M.
