Nanotraps with biomimetic surface as decoys for chemokines
چکیده انگلیسی
Biodegradable multilayer nanoparticles, bearing on the surface fragments of CCR5 receptor, can be used as nanotraps for chemokine binding and regulation of leukocyte adhesion. The combination in one nanotrap of heparin and peptides, which comprise binding domains of CCR5, ensures the strongest anti-adhesion effect. The peptide ECL2, derived from the second extracellular loop of CCR5 and modified with oligolysine sequences, is able to prevent the adhesion of monocytes with the same efficiency as full-structure nanotraps. Both ECL2 and ECL2-containing nanotraps can be promising candidates for the development of pharmaceuticals with enhanced chemokine binding activity for the treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases.134
