1Â Hz rTMS of the left posterior parietal cortex (PPC) modifies sensorimotor timing

► We investigated the role of the left PPC for precise right-hand sensorimotor timing. ► Subjects synchronized with an auditory, visual and auditory-visual pacing signal. ► After 1 Hz left PPC rTMS preciseness improved across all pacing signals' modalities. ► This effect lasted for about 5 min after cessation of rTMS. ► PPC is related to anticipatory motor control rather than multisensory integration.
