Insights into the early stage of Pinus nigra Arn. somatic embryogenesis using discovery proteomics

Experimental workflow. Proteins were isolated from embryogenic tissue (E), non-embryogenic callus (NEC) and embryogenic tissue after loss of maturation capacity (E-L) of two genotypes (366, 362), analyzed by two-dimensional protein electrophoresis (2-DE) in biological triplicate. A. PDQuest analysis of 2-DE gels (comparison of embryogenic tissue and non-embryogenic callus) resulted in 24 differentially abundant proteins common for both cell lines 362 and 366. B.
