Proteomics in HepG2 hepatocarcinoma cells with stably silenced expression of PRDX1

► Stable silencing of Prdx1 reverses some tumoural characteristics of HepG2 cells. ► Prdx1 silencing alters protein expression and protein thiol oxidation profiles. ► Proteins affected play pivotal roles in cell proliferation and differentiation. ► PRDX1 might be considered a proliferation marker for liver cancer cells.
